Nestled in the South Peak Resort of Lincoln, New Hampshire, Fireside is a collection of 41 luxury townhomes designed for alpine living. Each home spans 3,500–4,000 square feet, combining generous space with a refined mountain aesthetic. While the base design was established by the development's architecture team, my role was to bring the vision to life through detailed rendering, material coordination, and refinement of architectural elements to ensure cohesion across the neighborhood.
The challenge lay in balancing individual identity with neighborhood harmony. Each home needed to feel unique to its owner while still reading as part of a unified community. This was achieved through controlled variation in exterior finishes, subtle shifts in window groupings, and a shared palette of stone, timber, and metal roofing.
The renderings became more than marketing tools — they were working documents for material sourcing, proportion checks, and fine-tuning massing relationships. Through this process, I was able to identify potential design conflicts early, such as inconsistent roof eave depths or variations in stone coursing, and resolve them before construction began.
Ultimately, Fireside delivers the warmth and comfort its name suggests. The homes are visually tied to the mountain landscape, with stone base walls grounding them to the slope and timber accents framing generous outdoor living spaces. At night, the glow of firepits and interior hearths creates a visual rhythm across the neighborhood, reinforcing the community's identity as a year-round mountain retreat.
